Cowbird Stories
- Below is a selection from 335 Cowbird Stories I published between March 2013 and March 2017. Many of these took their inspiration from photographs I took.
- Cowbird was a beautiful platform created by Jonathan Harris in 2012, which combined images with text. It was closed in March 2017 so no more content can be added but all content continued to be accessible.
- A Cowbird Story is normally a combination of an eye-catching image (first page) with a text (second page).
I use the format mostly to invent legends to a photograph, creating myths on the fly, etc. Only a few of my Cowbird stories are “serious” pieces, taken from my trove of fiction and nonfiction. These are listed below. - UPDATE on 10/24/20: I discovered that in Cowbird all images are gone. I then was able to recover the full files via the Wayback Machine. But since the Wayback machine adds clutter to the top of the page you must view these at 80% or 67% reduction.
- UPDATE on 10/12/21: all images are back, and since te original images (not retrieved from the Wayback Machine) are cleaner, I will revert back to them when I have a chance.
