Accidental street art in Seoul

Beautiful brass, polished by 10,000 shoes stepping over it every day.

I’m told it signifies the location of subterranean pipes.

Water?  Gas?  Sewage?

What started as a simple interdiction of smoking at this particular point has become a watered-down Maybe-you-can-I-don’t-care-if-you-do.

Wait for another year of abuse of the artwork by pedestrians, and smoking is totally allowed.

A professional abstract artwork has been slipped in.

An artist too shy to profess his/her identity has left a permanent mark in the center of this big city.

Quite a miracle to behold.

A substance in the process of expanding into the letters of the Korean alphabet.

I see a ghost made of paper in an Indonesian shadow puppet theater.
