72nd Street in Manhattan on January 8, 2023.  On the way back from getting bagels, and scrutinizing the asphalt for inspirations. And lo and behold, the accidental artists have been busy last night!

The combination of the figurative with the abstract is unique in this piece.  Change of mind, distraction, or a deliberate attempt to fuse the styles?  Or it it making a statement on the meta level, about the way these movements have cross-fertilized each other? We will never know.

Here we get the sense that there is a strict boundary between the commitment to peace on the left (with its incomparably richer texture) and the total absence of it on the right.  Reminds me: the empty face of the Speaker.

Microbial life forms become gigantic in the nutrient-rich environment of Upper West Side.
