Fall

Amid the anxiety about COVID-19 and the election, and the possibility Trump will fight tooth and nail to stay in power, the miracle of the fall descends on us.  Fall is a saturation of beauty accumulated over the spring and summer.

The only thing that is wrong with it is that it contains the immediate specter of severe cold temperatures and winter.

Now think about the idea of seasons going back in time, with the fall anticipating the glories of summer, and the seeds of spring!

What a different hopeful world this would be!

Except for this year, 2020.  This year we need to move forward, no matter what.
