WINTER WALK ON THEME OF THE RAINBOW
This time it’s the theme of colors
Winter is the time when primary colors are sparse but each item jumps out at you, especially when the first serious snow falls. Which is tomorrow
I’m ordering the impulse pictures following the rainbow
It’s still OK to use the word. How else would we describe the colorful phenomenon in the sky created by diffraction when the sun shines through a shower of rain?
WHITE, or all rainbow colors compressed into one

RED
Color of passion, here the color of a man-made control valve
ORANGE
first impulse was to exclude orange, for a reason almost everybody will understand, but then I thought better of it; this document will survive the madness of these years, and there will be a time when orange is an innocuous color again
YELLOW
Color of envy, a proud emblem of every telephone pole in my neighborhood
GREEN
Color of the obvious, ubiquitous life-sustaining force
BLUE
Color of the Adriatic sea, somewhat lost in the Berkshires, let’s say a quotation of faraway
