Lost And Found Times

Reflections increase in frequency and intensity as we get older. The life we have lived appears as a discontinuous fabric, which we are trying to mend with acts of memory. To me the beautiful phrase “Lost and found times” alludes to this process of creation or re-creation of a person from many pieces.

LOST AND FOUND TIMES is the title of a little magazine edited by John Bennett since the 80s. A few of my short pieces of fiction appeared there, long before the term “Flash Fiction” came into existence.

Just a few days ago the name of a chapbook enterprise, Lost and Found, reminded me of John Bennett’s magazine and I got hold of him. I was delighted to learn that the entire series of LAFT is archived at Ohio State University: https://kb.osu.edu/dspace/handle/1811/45310. My own flash fiction pieces are in issues 11, 19, and 21-22. For easier access, I have excerpted them from the large pdfs — pls. look under “Published.”
