Letter requesting immediate removal of Trump
.
.
I sent the following letter on January 7, 2021 to Sen. Schumer, Sen. Gillibrand and Congressman Nadler:
“President Trump’s actions in the past four years have proven that he is a serious threat to National Security. By temper, lack of morality, and utter disdain for the Constitution he has been unfit to hold his office. There have been many incidents in the past year alone where another impeachment should have been considered. Evidence for his erratic and delusional mental state has been abound and should have led to his removal by invoking the 25th Amendment long ago. Inaction by Congress and particularly the complacency or active support by Republican representatives in the House and Senate has finally allowed yesterday’s shameful events to happen. His actions in actively inciting violence at the Capitol and even afterwards congratulating his mob for a job well done raises the specter of more violence to come in the last days of his office. His desperate situation facing many criminal investigations once out of office might even drive him to incite a serious international crisis in the few days left. Steps for his immediate removal should therefore be taken, either by invoking the 25th Amendment or by starting another impeachment. Either action will also ensure that he will not be able to hold a public office again.
In the same vein, all senators that have initiated or supported yesterday’s challenge to Joe Biden’s election, helped President Trump in inciting the insurrection, or blocked the peaceful transition of the president-elect to power even after the coup was quelled should be removed from office, for sedition and failure to uphold their oath to the Constitution.”
