Republicans OK with using tax $$$ to kidnap US citizens

Dems submitted an amendment to the budget bill. The amendment says “no taxpayer money can be used to deport US citizens.” Republicans voted AGAINST adding the amendment to the budget bill. In short Republicans are ok with tax dollars being used to deport US Citizens.

Deport? If you are an 🇺🇸 citizen, how can you get “deported” from your own country? They mean kidnapped and brought against your will to a chose country where you will be… detained? In a camp to be forced to work? As cannon fodder in foreign wars.. ?
So, a naturalization ceremony is a big thing. People bring their friends and families. There is a lot of emotions, it means a lot. It’s life-changing. You think you are protected by tradition, by a vast consensus, by the results of struggles, by the memory of wars that have been fought for this privilege.
I went through it some 25 years ago. It changed my life, I felt welcome by this country which was defined by inclusiveness, diversity, infinite possibilities, re-invention.
It didn’t feel like something that could be changed or misinterpreted or abused by the act of some potentate.
But here we are: in this year 2025, a citizen of the US can be kidnapped and forcefully removed and thrown into a prison in a foreign country where he or she has no access to US jurisdiction. It appears that with a stroke of a pen (by a potentate who in a mysterious way holds control over all people who have the legal capacity to stop him) the right of a citizen in the US is worth less than the rights of citizens in most if not all other countries in the world.
(Mind you, in this absurd state we are in, the amendment by the Dems is just about paying for the kidnapping, not condemning it outright. If someone else pays for it, for instance from the coffers of billionaires attached to the orange man, it seems ok).
Have I bargained for this? Absolutely not. Will I fight against it? With every fiber!
Can you ever trust someone who still is in this mindless cohort of Republicans? — NEVER
